From a Jodhpur Workshop to 40+ Countries
Khushbu Handicrafts began in 1998 in a small workshop in Sardarpura, Jodhpur - the heart of Marwar, where leather craft has been a family inheritance for generations. The founding family started with a handful of craftsmen, a single stitching machine, and the skills passed down through their elders. The first orders were designer leather wedding sofa sets for the wedding palaces of Rajasthan, and dining chairs for Delhi hotels - and to this day, the wedding sofa remains one of our signature lines.
Today our manufacturing unit in Jodhpur - the furniture capital of India, a city that ships furniture to more than 50 countries - runs with over 120 skilled hands across frame-making, cutting, stitching, tufting, upholstery and finishing. We make every kind of leather furniture: sofa sets, chesterfields, wedding sofas, lounge and wing chairs, recliners, ottomans, stools, beds, dining chairs and benches. But the philosophy has not changed. Every piece is still built by hand. Every piece is still signed. The hides are still picked one at a time, by the craftsman who will work them. And the family is still in the workshop every single day.
What has changed is the map. Khushbu pieces now sit in boutique hotels in Dubai, designer showrooms in Stockholm and Milan, private libraries in London, and members-only lounges in Mumbai and New York. We ship full and LCL containers to more than forty countries - and we still treat every order, whether it's four chairs or forty sofas, like it's the only one.
